News and insights
We’re changing our trading name from Opayo to Elavon. This means our website, telephony, email addresses and communications will reference Elavon.
We’ll continue to use the Opayo name to describe our eCommerce and face-to-face products, for example the Opayo gateway or the Opayo POS solutions.
We’re making these changes to integrate Opayo more fully into the business, following a change of legal entity from Opayo to Elavon in June 2022. Opayo will now be a product, brought to you by Elavon.
Opayo naturally compliments our broader set of Elavon solutions and bringing them together under a single brand will allow us to serve our customers better than ever.
These changes have been ongoing since Elavon acquired Opayo and brought the businesses together. From March 2023, the Opayo website will redirect to Elavon.co.uk or elavon.ie. We’ll phase in other changes to logos on payment pages and terminal screens throughout February and March 2023.
We will replace the Opayo logo but there’s no change to functionality or to the team that supports your account. You can review how the logo looks in your payment flow in our customer test area prior to release.
No, our service to you will stay the same.

In-store:
Yes. The functionality of your machine will stay the same and you won’t need to do anything. If you have a Sage Pay or Opayo Logo on your card machine, it will automatically change to an Elavon logo via the TMS updates.
Yes, our numbers are staying the same. However, when you call us, you'll hear 'Welcome to Elavon' on our inbound voice recordings.
No, there will be no change to your account.
Other than branding, no, these were already updated in May 2022.
No, there is no change to your contract or terms.
No. Opayo is a multi-acquirer platform, and it will continue to provide gateway and card machine services for non-Elavon acquired customers. While there are benefits for taking additional services from Elavon, there is no change to the services we offer today.
MySagePay will be changing to MyOpayo and branded with the Elavon logo. The functionality on MyOpayo will remain the same for now, but we are working on enhancements for 2023.
