News and insights
We’re changing our trading name from Opayo to Elavon. This means our website, telephony, email addresses and communications will reference Elavon.
We’ll continue to use the Opayo name to describe our eCommerce and face-to-face products, for example the Opayo gateway or the Opayo POS solutions.
We’re making these changes to integrate Opayo more fully into the business, following a change of legal entity from Opayo to Elavon in June 2022.
Opayo will now be a product, brought to you by Elavon. Opayo naturally complements our broader set of Elavon solutions and bringing them together under a single brand will allow us to serve our customers and partners better than ever.
These changes have been ongoing since Elavon acquired Opayo and brought the businesses together. From March 2023, the Opayo website will redirect to elavon.co.uk or elavon.ie. We’ll phase in other changes to logos on payment pages and terminal screens through February and March 2023.

We’ll continue to use the ‘Opayo name’ to describe our eCommerce and face-to-face products, for example the Opayo gateway or the Opayo POS solutions.
By the end of February 2023, the Opayo partner portal will no longer be available. The good news is you can find all the key sales and marketing assets on the Elavon Partner Resource Centre, which can be found here: https://www.elavon.ie/become-a-partner/partner-resource-centre.html
Yes, Opayo remains committed to remaining a multi-acquirer gateway.
If you use our standard hosted payment pages, we will be updating to reflect the rebrand with an Elavon logo and blue colours.
Yes, we will make these changes available to view in your Opayo test environment prior to launch. Although your payment flow won't be technically changing, we recommend you review these before the launch to ensure you’re happy with the look of your payment flow.
For customers using customised templates, your hosted pages won't change. However, we will invite you to update via a new kit to benefit from future brand awareness activity.
